About Me
I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 12, 1998. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2022 with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Japanese and Art. As a mechanical engineer with experience with using various CAD software I have a deep interest in designing and optimizing mechanical systems and utilizing my skills to produce products or services that will improve peoples’ quality of life.
Following my graduation from Carnegie Mellon University, I began my career at L&T Technology Services. After working there for two years as an Associate Mechanical Engineer, I bring a solid foundation in CAD software. Notably, I optimized and simulated the ladder design for the CAT D11 XE using CREO, reducing stress under test loads. Additionally, I worked with proprietary vendors to create and update drawings using Siemens NX 12.
My favorite projects are hands-on projects. I have worked on multiple projects both individually and in groups. Some individual projects I have worked on include building a wind tunnel, a torsion balance apparatus, and designing a wrench using Creo Pro/E (and analyzed the design for stress concentrations with ANSYS). I have also worked on multiple team projects such as designing a 3D printer case and a gear system for a SafeKnock Doorknob using SOLIDWORKS. My experience with these projects taught me how to effectively work in groups to solve problems.
My non-academic experiences include teaching Karate, volunteer work at the Charles Morris Nursing Home, and working at the Cohon University Center Information Desk. I co-taught karate classes (individual and group instruction) once a week at USA Karate. I find helping students improve their skills over the years satisfying. Volunteering at the Charles Morris Nursing Home was satisfying too because I was extremely useful helping the residents get to their activities and direct other volunteers. Also, my volunteering work at Charles Morris Nursing Home has given me practice working with elderly people and an understanding of their needs and challenges. I helped the residents get to where they wanted to go and helped direct other volunteers to where they are needed as well. My work as a Cohon University Center desk attendant has also given me experience working with and organizing the functioning of the Cohon University Center such as helping set up events and addressing concerns people have.

Some of my hobbies include Karate and art. I started Karate in 2004 and currently hold a third-degree black belt. I enjoy drawing in both digital and non-digital mediums, and particularly like drawing comics. I enjoy a challenge and infusing creativity into my work. My skillset is diverse, encompassing woodworking, laser cutting, welding, machining, and programming. I am eager to apply my skills and passion for innovation to help solve problems to make people’s lives easier.
